What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect a warm, collaborative space where we set clear goals together and move at a pace that feels right for you. I take a strengths-based approach, meaning we’ll build on what’s already working while addressing what’s getting in the way. I use evidence-based methods (CBT, DBT, and mindfulness) to offer practical tools you can apply between sessions. You’ll always know why we’re doing what we’re doing, and I welcome your feedback so we can keep treatment aligned with your needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, I’ll get to know you, understand what brings you in, and clarify your goals. We’ll then create a tailored plan that may include CBT (to shift unhelpful thoughts), DBT skills (to manage emotions and relationships), and mindfulness practices (to increase balance and self-awareness). Ongoing sessions blend insight with skill practice, so you leave with clear takeaways, such as strategies for managing anxiety, regulating mood, or improving communication. We’ll regularly check progress, adjust the plan as needed, and make sure the work feels useful and sustainable. As you meet your goals, we’ll focus on relapse-prevention and a concrete toolkit you can continue using long after therapy ends.
