Dr. Ayhson Shafiq was born and raised in Springfield, Virginia. He then spent four years at New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery. After completing dental school Dr. Shafiq stayed in New York where he continued to work and complete his General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center. Working in such a large city allowed him to gain experience treating a variety of patients with a multitude of complex treatment needs. He has extensive knowledge of all modalities of general and cosmetic dentistry including dental crowns, dental bridges, porcelain veneers, Invisalign clear braces, teeth whitening, dental implant surgery, and more. Dr. Shafiq knows the value of patient centered care and always tries to put the needs of his patient’s first. He strives to build long lasting, trusting relationships and focuses on restoring natural-looking, healthy smiles. Despite the completion of his degree Dr. Shafiq continues to hone his skills by keeping up-to-date with the latest dental technology and procedures in the field of general and cosmetic dentistry. Outside the office you can usually find Dr. Shafiq spending time with his wife and their cat. He is an avid cyclist with a passion for horticulture, vinyl records, and film photography.
