Dr. Alexander R Castillo was born in Manzanillo, a city in eastern Cuba, in the current province of Granma. At the age of 7, he was admitted to a school of sports where he practiced dives and artistic gymnastics until he was 15. That school helped him to forge his discipline that according to his own words is what has given him success in professional life. He was admitted to the University of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba, School of Dentistry from the year 1991 to 1996. A difficult phase of the Cuban economy: The Special Period. With respect to this subject, he said ¨My mom was the driving force of my life, the most beautiful and great human being that touched my life; She sold coconut nougat (Turrones de Coco) year by year to help me cover my University expenses. Without her helping me I would not have been able to finish my Dental school. Dr. Castillo worked as a Dentist in Cuba for 11 years; he also practiced in Venezuela for more than 3 years, and arrived to The United States of America in October 2011 in the search of a better future for himself and his family, because the previous countries were he did not provide him with enough stability to settle down.
