About Dr. Alice Charland-Bassford
A 1989 graduate of Siena College, Loudonville, NY (BS Biology) and a 1992 graduate of The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (DMD), Dr Bassford completed a 1 year residency in Advanced General Dentistry ( AEGD-1yr) with the US Army at Fort Jackson, Columbia , SC. She was honorably discharged from the US Army Dental Corps as a Major after 10 years of service. She is dedicated to education and research and received both Fellowship (1998) and Mastership (2005) in the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a Diplomate with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). She uses state-of-the-art technology including 2D bite-wing radiographs, cad/cam Cerec one-visit crowns, micro-current for anxiety and pain, and physical therapy modalities for TMJ and has stress and relaxation treatment protocols.

Dr Bassford was great, polite, very knowledgeable and caring, checked overall health of myself and my teeth and offered valuable information on upkeep. Staff was very efficient, polite and very well organized and proficient. First time visit and was thoroughly impressed and grateful.

Prior to my appointment I had called to verify if I needed to confirm , receptionist didn’t seem like she was able to comprehend what I was asking?? at all .Upon arriving to my appointment all the staff looked at me with literally crazy eyes like who is this what is she doing here like I was in completely wrong building or something. I was greeted with nothing but confusing glares literally no words. To the point where I thought maybe I didn’t have an appointment, when I actually did. ?I also observed that they treated people who have been vaccinated and who haven’t been vaccinated very differently, and I mean that in a sense of kindness. I definitely probably wouldn’t go back but, One staff member was nicer and informative towards the end. Looking back at this overall appointment there was a lot of things that I could list here that were definitely dissatisfying and resulted in me having an unpleasant experience but it’s too much to even get into.

10/10 - I am so happy they made room for me in the schedule last-minute when I began experiencing a toothache. I was seen promptly at the time I was scheduled, and it was extremely smooth sailing. I look forward to being a regular patient now that I have recently moved to the area.

Great appointment availability. They were on time and I didn't wait at all. Cleaning done by the hygenist and then a visit with the dentist. Everyone from the front office to assistant, hygenist and Dr. Bassford were very friendly, thorough and kind. I'm delighted to have found this practice.

The entire staff was very helpful and very COVID aware. The dental hygienist was absolutely incredible and made the experience much more comfortable. The main doctor was not there but her replacement was amazing. Would recommend to anyone.

I loved that the doctor's assistant explained to me what would be the typical routine of each appointment and what she would be handling versus the doctor. All of the staff were great.
The doctor was attentive to my concerns on bite sensitivity and offered great medical explanations of what might be the issue. She clearly knows her stuff.
The office is clean and welcoming.

I am a visitor to the US. A crown of one of my teeth fell off while flossing. I was worried. The good doctor deftly fixed the same crown. The doctor and the staff were highly courteous and made me feel very comfortable.

Best dentist I've ever been to! If you are looking for an honest dentist that does quality work look no further.
