“My daughter is 4 years old and her 2nd time at the dentist but first at a pediatric dentist. I was happy that they accommodated me on the dentist chair so that I could hold her and I was also relieved they had Netflix and she could choose which show she wanted to watch which really was to distract her a little. The TV screen was on top so that helped to keep her lying down.
The hygienist was gentle and patient with her requests and explained to her slowly what she was doing each time and also tried to distract her with the dragon soft toy and helping him brush his teeth. My daughter didnt like the flossing part but she still did it as the hygienist was quick and she didnt like the fluoride paste either but the hygienist quickly wiped it away after she used the tool to put it on.
Dr Lee was also very quick with the exam so that my daughter didnt have to feel too uncomfortable too long. She was very friendly. as well.
All in all a good experience. ”

About Dr. Alice Lee
A board certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Alice Lee is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of specialized experience. And as a mother of three children, she truly understands the needs of NYC area families and believes in treating every child as if they were her own.
A San Francisco native, Dr. Lee attended Lowell High School and graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Psychology (Biological emphasis) and a minor in Asian American Studies. She then attended NYU College of Dentistry, where she was in the senior honors program. After earning her DDS degree, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Brooklyn Campus of the Veteran Affairs NY Harbor Healthcare System. Dr. Lee then completed a Fellowship in Special Care Dentistry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Rose F. Kennedy University Center/Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC), where she trained to provide dental care to individuals with special needs, including severe developmental and behavioral issues. During her fellowship, Dr. Lee realized she wanted to specialize in pediatric dentistry, providing dental care to all children, including those with special needs, and completed Pediatric Dentistry specialty training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Lee is currently the Program Director/Division Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and is an Assistant Professor of Dentistry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In addition to direct patient care, Dr. Lee plays an integral role of resident education, training the next generation of pediatric dentists, and conducting research in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Lee is also a member of the renowned Craniofacial Center at The Children's Hospital.

Amazing staff! From the receptionist to the techs to Dr. Lee.. My commute to the office is kind of lengthy but it’s justified coming to a great pediatric office.

Doctor Lee is the best! She was very kind yet moved swiftly enough to keep up with a 4 yr olds short attention span. The technician was extremely friendly as well and made my son feel very at ease in what could’ve been a very intimidating situation for him. Dr Lee was thorough and addressed all of my questions and concerns and I left feeling confident about my sons dental health and progress.
The office is very modern, equipped with bright and welcoming children’s decor, as well as iPads and lots of kids books about the dentist. The front desk secretary was kind and moved quickly to check us in, so we were seen right on time.
We just moved to NY from DC and I was certain that I would have to try a bunch of pediatric dentist for my son before we found the right one but we got it right on the first try! We will definitely continue being patients of Dr Lee after this amazing first visit!

Dr Lee is absolutely amazing!! My daughter was terrified of seeing the dentist and after a bad experience in the past her fear only grew, but Dr Lee and her assistants made her so comfortable! My daughter had to have A LOT of work done, however she always walked out with a smile on her face! Dr Lee is amazing! Everyone is always so kind, caring and very professional as well as knowledgeable! This location is always so clean and very kid friendly! I always ask if she works on adults as well!

The office is kid friendly and set up very nicely. There are activities for the children to do while they wait. Even if your child is timid or afraid, the staff makes the process very easy for them and even fun.

Dr. Lee was awesome! This was my 2-yr old daughter's first visit to the dentist. I wasn't sure how she would react (especially given that at her 18 mo doctor check-up she was hysterical from remembering previous visits). But my daughter was so calm the entire time. Dr. Lee was so cheery and pleasant, which put my daughter at ease, and Dr. Lee's office was well-equipped for kids (TV! stickers!). I highly recommend!

For my son's first dental visit Dr. Lee made it go extremely well, better than my expectations. The nurses are also wonderful. They all made my 3 year old feel very comfortable, and let him play with a "treasure chest" of toys while we went over his care plan. The office has a beautiful waiting room with tablets for the kids to play with during the brief waiting time. I'm very happy to have found this dental office!

This was my daughter's very first dental visit ever, she's 3.5yrs old so I had left it a bit later than most but I wanted her to understand what was going on and be able to communicate well. Dr Lee was absolutely fantastic! She made the whole new experience of going to the dentist very pleasant, from the moment you walk into the spotlessly clean waiting room (tv, kid's ipads and books) greeted by the very friendly and helpful lady at the reception desk to the very efficient examination to easily booking another appointment. Dr Lee explained everything that was going on during the examination to both my daughter and myself and she was even able to choose her favorite tv show to watch whilst relaxing in the big chair and help with some dental instruments so it felt like she really understood what goes on at the dentist! Dr Lee also answered all my questions and concerns as well as giving me useful information on dental health. And of course, they give out goodies too so thats always a winner with the kiddos! I highly recommend a visit to Dr Lee at Empire Pediatric Dentistry, she's awesome!
