About Dr. Amber Hogan

Dr. Hogan grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, where she met her husband, Richard. Their journey together took them to sunny San Diego, thanks to Richard’s service in the NAVY. Eventually, they made their way back to Virginia to start a family while Dr. Hogan pursued her dental hygiene degree. Before becoming a dentist, she spent several years working as a dental hygienist, giving her a well-rounded understanding of every aspect of dentistry. Her dedication led her to attend dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she impressively maintained a perfect clinical average—all while pregnant and raising a three-year-old. After graduating, Dr. Hogan worked at a large corporate practice in Virginia Beach before joining Norge Dental Center, a thriving private practice in Williamsburg. Through these experiences she realized her passion for creating her own style of dentistry-one where you can have fun with your patients even while doing the most involved procedure! “At the end of the day, people just want to feel heard and know they can trust their dentist. They want honest advice and affordable care—without feeling like they’re taking out a second mortgage just to get their teeth cleaned,” - Dr. Hogan She prides herself on being refreshingly honest with her patients, encouraging them to ask questions and even do their own research if they need time to feel confident about their treatment decisions. Dr. Hogan and her husband have been happily married for 21 years and are proud parents to two beautiful daughters. If you’re one of her patients, you’ll probably hear her excitedly share stories about her daughters’ gymnastics competitions or her love for spending time at Smith Mountain Lake. Outside of the office, she enjoys soaking up the sun at the beach, lounging by the pool, and boating with her family. Dr. Hogan is also deeply rooted in her faith—she’s an active member of Liberty Live Church and is on a personal mission to complete her one-year Bible plan!
