Brito Family Dental is a single, privately owned, non-corporate, modern family dental office operated by Dr. Andy Brito. What is the benefit of receiving care from Dr. Brito at his office, as opposed to a corporate dental office? There is no revolving door of temporary, non-skilled dentists who are only there for a short period to make a paycheck. All treatment decisions are made by you and Dr. Brito, with no outside influence. Dr. Brito’s practice philosophy is to treat every patient as he would his own family member because he plans to practice in the Boston area for the rest of his life. This means honest, conservative, long-lasting, and money-conscious dental treatment.
Dr. Brito earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University and completed a Residency in General Practice at the State University of New York, Stony Brook. He will get to know you personally and take the time to learn about your goals for your health and appearance. He will consider your financial situation and help you maximize your insurance in a way that’s best for your health and your wallet, rather than what’s best for a corporation’s bottom line.
The general public often believes that chains and multi-location practices offer cheaper and better-quality dental treatment, but that is false. Dr. Brito accepts most dental insurances and offers a variety of payment plans, just like large corporate dental offices. His philosophy is to explain all options to patients and let them choose what they are most comfortable with for their lifestyle and budget.

Dr. Brito is great! I had gone to another dentist in the area before and was told I had 5 cavities, after never having one before. I asked Dr. Brito about this and he said my teeth were great and that I should keep doing what I'm doing. Finding a dentist you can trust is so important, so I really appreciated his open and honest communication style. 10/10 would recommend his practice.

Dr. Brito's office is nothing short of excellent. Scheduling a visit is simple, fast and efficient. I was gently reminded of my appointment time and date in a constructive way via text.
Every time I have visited the office I am seen within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment time and the staff is gracious, kind and engaging. I feel so welcomed and at ease at Dr. Brito's and I have recommended his practice to a number of my friends and family members. I have always felt that my dental exams are thorough but have never felt pushed into performing any non-essential treatments/procedures or imaging.
Dr. Brito is an huge asset to Southie, I am grateful he decided to practice so close to my home!

Absolutely awful. Would never return to him or trust his opinions. He knows nothing past cavities & cleaning. He told me multiple times “I’m just a general dentist I’m glad you have no cavities. He insulted the dental work I had done prior. He also didn’t introduce himself or ask any questions before checking my mouth and then after checking stood up and told me “there’s many things wrong with your teeth”. He was rude, disrespectful and frankly not knowledgeable about how to help him. His hygienist was definitely the most competent person in his office. Do not go to him.

Idk what’s going on there but this guy is really rude and aggressive. He was yelling at me at one point and said that everything was not alright at another while working in my mouth. Terrifying. I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. Also very disorganized and sketchy.

I had been going to the same dentist for YEARS - a small dentist office in the town I grew up in. I had no idea the level of sophistication that existed in the dental industry. From the X-ray machine to the way the simply cleaned my teeth during a routine checkup it was state of the art (or at least it appeared that way to me compared to what I was used to)
Although it was my first visit I’d definitely recommend. I already have my next appointment booked! The office was extremely clean, the staff was so friendly and the new patient process was a breeze.

Dr. Brito is truly the best - he has changed my mindset of being afraid of the dentist to eagerly looking forward to the next appointment. He and his team provide top-notch care for a multitude of treatments, are straight-shooters about your dental needs while not overselling you, and continue positive encouragement as you make progress instead of making you feel guilty about any lapses in visits.

Andy Brito, DMD was extremely knowledgable, helpful, and easy to communicate with during my appointment. He and the entire staff were so warm and welcoming - putting me at ease pending a larger consultation. The office is immaculate and the staff is well organized and thorough. My favorite thing about my experience was their transparency around insurance - so often doctors and dentists have either no idea about insurance coverage or try to hide it to benefit themselves and their practice. That is not at all what happened during my appointment - I so appreciated this and would recommend him to anyone!
