About Dr. Athanasios Loukas

Dr. Thanasi Loukas is a 2006 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received clinical honors for his work in implant dentistry. He also achieved honors on the National Board Dental Examination. He practices general, family, cosmetic and restorative dentistry at Loukas Dentistry of Park Ridge, treating both adults and children, and speaks English and Greek fluently. Dr. Loukas has advanced training in dental implants, oral surgery and endodontics. He has completed many hands on courses, including gum grafting, periodontal surgery and a master prosthodontics course through Hiossen Dental Implants. In our office he handles the full implant process, from extraction and bone grafting to implant placement and the final restoration. He is trained and certified in Invisalign clear aligner treatment, and uses digital dentistry, including iTero 3D scanning, to plan treatment precisely and show patients their expected results before they begin. Since 2009 Dr. Loukas has also provided facial aesthetics, with training through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in Botox, dermal fillers, advanced dermal fillers and PDO threads. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Hellenic American Dental Society, and continues his education every year to bring patients current, evidence based care.
