About Dr. Austin Michels

Dr. Michels is proud to call North Carolina his home for over 30 years. He graduated from NC State Univeristy, magna cum laude, with a degree in Human Biology. He then traveled north to the Boston University School of Dentistry, graduating with honors. Dr. Michels has been trained in many areas of dentistry, including orthodontics, implants, and cosmetics. He believes in treating every patient like family, and making them feel as comfortable as possible. Outside of practice, Dr. Michels enjoys relaxing at the beach, grilling out, and walking his two dogs with his fiancé who is also a dentist. Dr. Michels is excited to continue his dental career with our team at Smithfield Family Dentistry!
