About Dr. Christopher Henry

Dr. Christopher Henry was born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina. He has an older sister Rachel, who, with her husband Matt, now has three girls from 3 to 14 yrs old. Dr. Henry played trumpet in the band and baseball during his early college years for a brief time, until he says that he came to the sad realization that he “would never be Louis Armstrong or Randy Johnson or a strange combination of both.” He continued to pursue his career as a dentist at the Medical University of South Carolina’s JBE dental school. At MUSC, Dr. Henry was involved with community outreach programs such as Our Lady of Mercy on James Island and the Greenville Medical Clinic. He served on the board of multiple school organizations such as the Tau Sigma military society and Psi Omega dental society. In 2020, he earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. From Charleston, Dr. Henry went on to serve as a general dentist with the US Army for five years. He went to Fort Carson, Colorado, to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and then moved down to Fort Bliss, Texas. While in Texas, Dr. Henry served as the assigned dentist to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team in the 1st Armored Division for 3 years. During that time he deployed with his unit to the Republic of Korea. Upon completion of his active duty, he decided to trade the Texas desert for the Carolina beaches and returned to the civilian sector with a move back to Charleston to be close to family. Dr. Henry is happy to be back in the Carolinas and working at Family Dental Health. In his free time he enjoys being outdoors engaging in activities such as hiking, camping, or a handful of leisure sports. He can be found bouncing around Charleston trying one of the numerous dining options, unwinding at Ethos Athletic Club after work, or on the golf course trying to fix his baseball slice.
