Welcome to Napa Valley Cosmetic Dentistry! I’m Dr. Deirdre Burke, a Napa dentist proudly serving the Napa Valley community. I was born and raised in San Francisco in a large, close-knit family. My parents instilled in me the importance of family, faith, education, and serving others. Inspired by my mother’s 55-year career as a nurse in San Francisco, I knew from my teenage years that I wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating from Saint Rose Academy High School, I earned my undergraduate degree at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Presidential Citation Award for Leadership and Service. I returned to the Bay Area to attend UCSF Dental School, where I graduated with honors in 1993. Following this, I completed a residency program at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinez, California, in 1994. For several years, I worked as an associate dentist, gaining hands-on experience that prepared me to open my own practice. In 1998, I purchased a general dental practice in San Rafael, California, and seven years later, expanded to open a second practice in Greenbrae. For 21 years, I successfully ran both practices in Marin County while raising our four children with my husband. I’ve always had a passion for giving back to the community, actively participating in organizations like Marin Head Start, Adopt a School, and Little Sisters of the Poor. In 2019, I had the opportunity to join Dr. Hoey’s practice as he transitioned into retirement. Together, we shared a commitment to providing personalized care using advanced dental technology like CEREC 3D for same-day crowns. In September 2020, my husband and I moved full-time to our home in Napa after our youngest child left for college. I’m excited to now serve as a full-time Napa Valley dentist, offering comprehensive care to the wonderful community of Napa. I look forward to building relationships with my patients and delivering exceptional den
