About Dr. Delaram Hanookai
With more than 28 years as a practicing periodontist and dental implantologist, Dr. Hanookai is exceptionally proficient in bone grafting, gum grafting, replacing missing teeth with dental implants, and restoring smiles to people who may not have smiled comfortably in years. She understands this is not just a clinical procedure; it can change a person's life for the better.
Dr. Hanookai received her Doctor of Dental Surgery and her Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Southern California in 1994 and 1998, respectively. She then pursued advanced implantology training there. Her education didn't stop there, however. She has continued to pursue advanced training at the Misch Implant Institute, one of the world's most advanced training centers in dental implantology, and received her fellowship from The International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

I am from out of town and was searching on yelp for a trustworthy periodontist rather than dentist. I stumbled upon Southland. I booked an appointment with Dr. Hanookai and she made me feel very comfortable. She is knowledgeable and gave advice on what she thinks is the best procedure for me.

It's so out of this world how professional this office is. I love coming to get my teeth whiten here and braces, they work with my schedule. I highly recommend this place not just because it's nice and clean and sanitized, but because they offer the best customer service.

Dr. Abaian and Dr. Hanookai are absolutely the best doctors in the entire world. I had a huge amount of dental work 10 years ago; implants, veneers, crowns, bridges and I've had no problem since.

Dr. Abaian and Dr. Hanookai are true angels among us. When I was 18 I was in a car accident that left me needing extensive cosmetic dental work. After several disappointments consultations at different dental offices over the past few years I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Abaian and Dr! Hanookai I will be for ever grateful for their incredible work.

I walked into Southland Dental Care with teeth so pockmarked from decay I looked like an ex- Soviet Boxer. I needed EXTENSIVE dental work, including implants, crowns, bridges, root canals, etc., so I was understandbly nervous. Dr. Hanookai and her husband Dr. Abaian came highly recommended but the friend that recommended them didnt do them justice.

Nobody likes going to the dentist. I don't care who you are, but it has to be done. If you are going to take care of your teeth, they will take care of you. There is no better place to make sure your teeth are healthy and look great than Southland Dental. From the minute you walk in they treat you like family.

My dental journey hasn't been the best. Unfortunately, I have had dental issues since I can remember and the previous dentists that I have visited just didn't help it. get any better; from the lack of personal care to painful expierences... This all changed when I came to Southland Dental.

Thank you to Dr. Hanookai and the whole team at Southland Dental. I went for wisdom teeth extractions, implant and gum bleaching! They were very kind and professional before, during and procedures. Great care always. The doctor and staff care very much about their patients. The doctors are top experts in their field of dentistry and work very hard for their patient's to achieve the best possible outcome. Their staff are equally skilled in their field as well. I have been a Patient since 2022, and I am very grateful for all of them.

I had a great expierence at Southland Dental care. The entire staff was incredibly nice and made sure I was seen in a timely manner. Dr. Delaram Hanookai was especially accomodating, making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She is highly skilled at gum work and took great care of my needs with precsion and professionalism.

I've been a patient for many years, had extensive work done there. My teeth and mouth are healthy now in my 60's. I get my teeth maintained by Azita and Dr. Abaian makes sure my smile looks good asthetically. Dr. Hanookai is the surgeon and I've had gum surgery and dental implants with her.

Like most people, I hated going to the dentist and put it off as long as I could. Then one day, I cracked an old filling. I called arround and was pretty much shamed by other offices. However, the staff at Southland Dental Care made me feel welcome safe and like an actual person. There was no judgement, just people that wanted to help. Dr. Abaian is the most gentle and genuine dentist.

I arrived at my appointment and was told they didn't have access to their Zocdoc schedule to update it and cancel the afternoon appointments for their staff meeting. I drove all the way there in pain, expecting to be seen, and they couldn't see me, I needed to reschedule. If they know appointments can be scheduled via Zocdoc and they are having access issues, they should have called customer service for a resolution. But the real issue is when I got there, they pulled me up in the system showing my 3p appointment. So why not call me and let me know it's been canceled. There was no regard for my time. I do not recommend, and I will not go back.
