About Dr. Erica Derby

A critical thinker, Dr. Derby prides herself in spending time with each of her patients, thoroughly explaining upcoming procedures and recommendations while making sure to answer and explain any dental questions they have. Dr. Derby states, “I strive to give my patients a quick, easy, and comfortable experience. I want to finish treating them before they even know I’ve started!” A Colorado native, Dr. Derby was born in Sterling and lived in the northeast corner of Colorado until her graduation from Sterling High School. After graduating from The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Derby spent a year as a General Dental Resident at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. It was here that she was able to get extensive training in all the areas of General Dentistry, which included pediatrics, prosthodontics, oncology, emergency care and more. She took special interest in the area of oral surgery, extractions, as well as the surgical extraction of wisdom teeth. She currently is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Colorado Dental Association (CDA), and the Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS). She also was elected by her peers for the honor of being a Pierre Fauchard Fellow. Dr. Derby married her college sweetheart, and they have two beautiful daughters. In her spare time, she takes pleasure in skiing, golfing, mountain biking, cooking and reading.
