About Dr. Fariya Islam
Dr. Fariya Islam is a New York native, having grown up in Queens and attended New York University for her bachelor's degree. Dr. Islam obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook before going on to complete her General Practice Residency at Northwell Health North Shore University Hospital.
During her training, Dr. Islam had the pleasure of traveling to Chile to provide dental care for underserved adults and children in the town of Neltume. She also served in the non-profit organization Remote Area Medical, providing free dental treatment to underserved and uninsured populations in the United States.
Dr. Islam performs all phases of general dentistry including preventative care, tooth colored fillings, crown and bridge restorations, teeth whitening, and root canal therapy.
When she is not providing dental care to patients, Dr. Islam enjoys watching a good show, catching sunsets, and eating at NYC's many restaurants.

My visit was very pleasant! Dr. Islam is thorough in exploring potential issues and provides solutions. She listens to what I'm saying and offers a range of reasons and other immediate or potential future services that may help. There are great referral options and nothing is ever pushed in terms of extra service. I've always enjoyed my visits with Dr. Islam!
