About Dr. Frank Dominguez

*New patients - Please note when booking with this provider, your initial appointment will be a comprehensive exam and you will be scheduled for a cleaning accordingly.* Dr. Frank Dominguez received his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1977. He went on to complete dental school at Washington University where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1981. Dr. Dominguez worked in public health as a dentist for three years in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. He also had a private practice in Grants, New Mexico for 15 years. He joined PERFECT TEETH™ in 1999 when he was ready to practice dentistry without the initial startup costs associated with a private practice. This move gave him the ability to focus solely on patient care while living close to his children and wife as they attended college and law school. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Dominguez enjoys spending time with his family which includes his grandchildren. Both his wife and son are attorneys, his daughter is a dental hygienist and his other son is a private investigator. He also enjoys spending his free time playing golf. What you may not know about Dr. Dominguez is that he played basketball in college where he was all-conference player and an honorable mention for All-American. Dr. Dominguez is a member of the American Dental Association and the New Mexico Dental Association and he says, “Dentistry is such a great career. What made me most uncomfortable was the dentist himself. He repeatedly touched my arms, neck, and shoulders tightly during the exam, which felt inappropriate. He was also moving and swaying in a way (like he was drunk or on drugs) that made me feel unsafe while he was using sharp tools in my mouth. The cleaning process was rough and painful — it felt rushed and careless. He kept swaying in his seat as put instruments in my mouth and it was bumping me. I waited two weeks for an appointment for a simple cleaning, but when I arrived, they took X-rays and said I needed to reschedule for a “debridement cleaning” instead. The staff were very pushy about booking it for the next day, even though I’d already taken time off work. Overall, the entire visit felt unprofessional and unsettling. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone. Please be cautious if you decide to go here.
