About Dr. Gohar Hovsepyan
Gohar Hovsepyan, DDS, is a highly skilled dentist with a gentle touch and an outstanding personality. She specializes in orthodontics and all aspects of general dentistry, providing exceptional treatments with a compassionate chairside manner to her patients at Viva Smile in Van Nuys, California.
Dr. Hovsepyan earned her doctor of dental surgery degree in 1994, but she’s never stopped educating herself and learning. She furthered her education with numerous certification programs and continuing education courses in order to stay up on the latest advances in dental techniques and technologies.
Dr. Hovsepyan is a graduate of the orthodontics program at the United States Dental Institute, where she’s currently a lifetime member and receives over 200 hours of dental education each year on the most state-of-the-art orthodontic techniques. She’s also a preferred provider of Invisalign® and is a certified provider of Inman Aligners™. One of her recent accomplishments worth mentioning is the achievement of Digital Smile Design Clinic status. We now can offer complete smile transformations that are planned digitally in advance to create an ideal smile for your face.

Staff is rude. Told them I might be a little late and they tried to cancel because they’re “very busy” — they weren’t. Still arrived on time. They did 15 X-rays (this was a cleaning) and lost their patience with me for gagging on the machine. Should be noted that they would put this thing in my mouth, walk to another room, then take the picture, so this this was in my throat for 10+ seconds every single time. They told me I didn’t fill out all the forms and asked me to do it on my phone, then the dentist seemed offended that I was filling out the form while talking to her. She also greeted me by saying “So you’re the patient who’s been giving my staff so much trouble.” I’m a polite, easygoing guy and told her I wasn’t trying to be difficult. Then they tried to sell me on 8 months of Invisalign. I’ve already had braces twice and am almost 30. My teeth are also fine. My bite isn’t perfect, but they’re straight and white. I just needed a cleaning. Don’t go here.

This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to! They have technology so new, I’ve never even seen it before, and they make sure to explain everything to you so you feel comfortable & informed. I love this dentist, and I’ll be referring many people to go here.
