About Dr. Gwendolyn Taylor
Dr. Gwendolyn Taylor is passionate about providing personalized dental care, focusing on the unique needs of each patient. Her philosophy is simple: treat every patient like family. “I love what I do and the people I treat,” Dr. Taylor says. “I’m excited to have my own practice where my patients feel comfortable, cared for, and valued.”
She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry in 2017, where she distinguished herself as the only female recognized in the Honors Oral Surgery Program during her final two years.
Dentistry runs in Dr. Taylor’s blood. As a fourth-generation dentist, she knew from an early age that dentistry was her calling. Her passion is reflected in her commitment to advanced training, including courses in minimal sedation techniques, nitrous oxide administration, laser technology, advanced surgical procedures, and altering vertical dimension. Dr. Taylor is an active member of the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the San Antonio District Dental Society.
Beyond the office, Dr. Taylor is dedicated to community service. She has organized and participated in dental mission trips to Jamaica, providing care to underserved communities, and has volunteered with Texas Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with her three dogs, reading, and playing video games. She cherishes time with her three sons, ages 23, 20, and 18, and is thrilled to welcome her first granddaughter in April 2025.

The office staff and dentist were very friendly and helpful. However, I had to wait 2 1/2 hours for a simple consultation and teeth cleaning, most of that spent in the exam chair. I have never had a wait so long in a dentist office. They accept walk-ins, so maybe that was the hold up? I will give them another try, but if this happens again I’ll have to look for another dentist.

Dr. Taylor was very friendly and informative! Her staff was friendly as well and the office was comfy & inviting. The overall experience was a little long though. I didn’t have to wait in the waiting room for too long but I did sit in the chair waiting for certain parts of the visit such as x-rays, exam, and cleaning. I would would recommend but I’d be sure to book when your schedule is open

This was the best experience I have ever had at a dentist appointment. I have a complicated case and the staff and Dr Taylor were so patient and really listened to me to come up with a treatment plan that worked for me. Total no judgement zone that made me feel at ease. Very professional and I know I am in good hands at this office!

Everybody at the clinic was very nice and professional. I had to get a procedure done on my gums and it was done on the spot, in a very timely manner. I was very nervous for the procedure but she was very understanding. 10/10 would recommend her!
