About Dr. Howard Wang
Dr. Howard H. Wang is a dual-specialist clinician providing services in both periodontics and endodontics. He specializes in all aspects of periodontal treatment and advanced implant therapy, as well as all endodontic treatments including surgical and non-surgical root canal therapy, intentional replantation and perforation repair. With this extensive background, Dr. Wang is able to provide an unbiased treatment plan for his patients, determining what is best for their dental health and oral care. He always takes time to personally understand his patients’ needs and concerns, answering any questions prior to beginning treatment.
Dr. Wang has a wealth of knowledge in the dental health field. Spending many years at Stony Brook University in New York, he earned three Masters degrees (MBA, MPH, MS), a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree (DDS), and an advanced specialty certification in periodontics. He was the president and founder of the Stony Brook University Chapter of American Association of Public Health as well as the vice-president of the Community Outreach and Interfaith Network. Through these organizations, he provided dental care and mentoring to orphanages and underprivileged high school students as part of the Suffolk County High School Professions Awareness Program. Furthering his education even more, Dr. Wang received an advanced certification in endodontics from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Wang has received multiple awards throughout his years of schooling and has also published numerous research articles in the highly esteemed Journal of Periodontology and Journal of Endodontics as well as co-authored a chapter in "The Sinus Bone Graft, 3rd Edition" textbook. Very skilled endodontist with a low key demeanor who listens well and did my root canal smoothly without pain.

Nice clean office, the doctor was running a little behind but he was very thorough with me when I got seated. They use a cool x-ray machine that looks like a camera that produces very little radiation so I was happy

My dentist in Long Island referred me to Dr. Wang because he said that Dr. Wang is one of the only ones is a gum specialist and root canal specialist which is exactly what I need for my tooth. He was very thorough and I'm so glad I made the trip here to see him!

Came in for a second opinion and glad I did. Dr. Wang explained everything to me and we made the decision together that it was not worth it to save the tooth so i didn't waste my time and energy to save a badly infected tooth

He was Only nice & professional when trying to sell what benefited him financially, and when I chose to opt for something more cost effective - he was rude, abrupt, and bad manners. He said I could have a prescription sent to any pharmacy of my choice, and then sent it to the one he wanted to and Not even the same Company or location that I told him to send it to!
All because he vehemently refused to write it on paper! Stand clear of this man! Cancel.
P.S. He also had someone suspicious looking hanging around the office & posing as a patient - during the entire procedure! 18/241

Saw Dr. Wang for a dental implant and he explained everything to me. I'm sad that my tooth is gone but I'm glad that I'll have a new tooth in 10 months! the extraction was pretty much painless!

Dr. Wang is very knowledgeable in dentistry, however, our philosophies do not align since I believe in holistic dentistry and he told me that he doesn't really know much about it so he did not charge me for my visit today. Nice and honest office!

I came in on an emergency as their last patient on Monday at 7 PM and they did my root canal and fixed up the tooth, they stayed till 9 PM to help me! I've never seen a dentist stay open until 9 PM, they are truly amazing people!

My other dentist told me I needed deep cleanings but never explained why. I came in to see Dr. Wang for a second opinion and he told me that I only need it in some areas but not the whole mouth so I saved some money. He also explained what plaque under the gums look like on the xray and why I needed to do the deep cleaning in these areas. He's so patient and answered all of my questions! Highly recommend it!

Easiest root canal procedure I've ever had! My tooth was hurting me so much and Dr. Wang fixed it. Best thing is I am scheduled with Dr. Kim in the same office for the crown next week! My old dentist made me go to a different office for root canals

Saw Dr. Wang for my wisdom teeth problems but he told me it was my sinus, he took a 3D x ray and referred me to the ENT, good thing I came here, I don't think any other dentist would've figured out my problem!

Drs. Wang and Kim are great and gentle dentists. I was seated right away. They explained all treatment options and were very kind and thorough to answer all my questions and concerns. Never push for any treatments and very accommodated for my schedule. I traveled 1.5hrs from Long island to come see them because I trust both Drs. Wang and Kim and feel comfortable at their office. They gave painless injection too!
