About Dr. Hyo Sup Shin
Dr. Hyosup Peter Shin is a general dentist, well-versed in the most advanced technology in implant dentistry, esthetic dentistry, and dental surgeries. Dr. Shin has helped save countless smiles through his conservative approach. His dental restorations and surgeries are minimally invasive, allowing his patients to undergo complex procedures without discomfort or pain. His top services include implants, cosmetic gum surgery, no-prep veneers, and smile makeovers.
Dr. Shin earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He then completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at NYU Langone Hospital. Growing up learning from his father’s dentistry, Dr. Shin now works alongside his sister, Dr. Jin Sup Shin, an orthodontist, in their family-owned practice.
Dr. Shin’s treatment philosophy is to help and educate patients to understand their oral health. When dental treatment is indicated, he engages in detailed conversations with his patients to maximize treatment outcomes and prevent recurring diseases. This approach is why his patients enjoy great results and confidence when visiting their dentist.
In his spare time, Dr. Shin is always learning more about dentistry to enhance his patient experience. He also enjoys playing golf, cycling, and traveling.

False information on ZocDoc and their website about being in-network with my insurance. It was not. And they did not notify me of that (even after I asked multiple times before my appointment) until an hour before my appointment. I was going in for a broken tooth and a cleaning and was told that would all be done. No cleaning was done. I left unhappy and very disappointed in the communication.

Best dentist appointment I ever had. He showed me where I have cavities, and took photos inside my tooth during the treatment so that I can see where he is treating. He also helped me with cleaning and it was very thorough.

I had an emergency with broken tooth. Dr. Shin helped me take them out without any pain. He was very through and worked slowly and let me take breaks, because I felt nervous about taking them out. His assistant was also very caring. Thank you Dr. Shin.
