About Dr. Ilka Maza

I was born in Cuba and emigrated to the US at 8 years old. Dentistry had always been in my family as my aunt is a Dentist in Cuba. However, it was far from my mind as a career choice due to my extensive dental history (which led me to get braces three times before age of 19). Somewhere between the many dental appointments I fell in love with the profession because of the positive impact it made in my life. Post-graduation from dental school, this developed into an obsession for perfecting my craft by pursuing Fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry, which makes up on 6% of general dentists in the US and Canada. Today as a dentist, I'm privileged to be a part of my patients' smile journey.
