About Dr. James Dixon

Born and raised in Kansas City, Dr. Dixon attended Rockhurst High School and Mizzou before graduating dental school at UMKC. While in dental school, he participated in the Advanced Studies in Restorative Dentistry program and received awards for his clinical achievements. Since graduation, Dr. Dixon has been an avid participant in numerous continuing education programs. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. With strong ties to the area, Dr. Dixon is thrilled to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to the people of Kansas City. He enjoys fostering positive relationships to make sure his patients feel comfortable and heard while under his care. He enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering with TeamSmile, a non-profit dental organization co-founded by Dr. Busch, that partners with professional sports teams to deliver free oral health education, screening, and treatment to promote healthy smiles for life. When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Dixon and his fiancée, Anna, enjoy Crossfit traveling, and playing board games with friends and family.
