“I rarely leave reviews for anything, but this is a pleasant exception. I was forced to leave my previous dental office because 1) they claimed I needed three fillings that would cost me around $1200, 2) they claimed I had bad gums and pre-paradontitis, offering me a crazy-expensive treatment, and 3) they claimed that I had reached my yearly maximum while in truth they just fell out of my insurance network.
I was very disappointed by this shady story and was looking for a professional that would be honest with me. Turned out, I didn’t need any fillings at this time and my gums are completely fine. I will be coming back for a check up in 6 months, to see how those three teeth are doing, but in the meantime, I didn’t need to do any work on my teeth as my previous dental office claimed. I really appreciated doctor’s honesty, clear communication, and laid back bedside manner. This made me feel at ease and I’m looking forward to visiting this office in the future.

Dr. Jenny Armstrong is a general dentist practicing at Midtown Dental Group in New York, NY. She received her dental degree from Columbia University. Subsequently, she completed a General Practice Residency at Northwell Health (North Shore-LIJ Hospital).
Dr. Armstrong holds active memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry and the New York State Dental Association. She was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, and is also a recipient of several awards and honors like the Ella Marie Ewell Award.
Dr. Armstrong is proficient in all aspects of dentistry including preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, as well as oral surgical procedures, endodontics, and orthodontics. She believes that creating an experience focusing on the individual’s personality, beliefs, interests, and needs, is requisite towards a successful doctor-patient relationship and helps to provide the best oral health outcomes. I was booked with a different dentist than expected, and the dentist did not see me until the very end of the appointment for about 10 minutes. The hygienist handled everything else, including X-rays, cleaning, and explanations.
For first-time patients, this process should be made clearer. It is confusing to be given the option to choose a dentist when you barely see them during the visit.

I have already recommended this office to my coworkers and cannot speak highly enough about how welcomed and taken care of I felt. The hygeniest (Asian male) was outstanding and Dr. Armstrong was so approachable and professional. The fridge of perrier cans in the lobby is a very nice touch and the front desk staff was so friendly!

I've had trouble finding the right dentist and put it off for longer than I should have because of that, so I was really relieved by the experience I had with Dr. Armstrong and Tai. They took the time to ask about prior experiences and provided me with the one I was looking for while still addressing my dental health/concerns. Highly recommend!

THEY ARE OUT OF NETWORK FOR ALL INSURANCES. THEY LIST AS IN NETWORK ON ZOCDOC WHICH IS FALSE. FURTHER, THEY HAD NO RECORD OF MY APPOINTMENT ON THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT AND SAID THE DENTIST I WAS BOOKED TO SEE WAS NOT EVEN IN THE OFFICE THAT DAY. DID NOT SEE THE DENTIST.

Great chairside manner! The hygienist whose name I forget was fantastic: thorough and great teacher of proper cleaning techniques!! Hope she's there next time. The doctor was very thorough as well and uses the most up-to-date diagnostic techniques. I needed a minor adjustment to a filling done by another provider and she was able to accommodate on my first visit. Glad to finally find a dentist I trust in NYC!
