About Dr. Jooyoung Kim

Dr. Claire (Jooyoung) Kim founded Groove Dental on a simple premise: dental care should be a rejuvenating experience. She has curated a boutique studio rooted in mindfulness and intentional care. At Groove, we prioritize ‘Aesthetic Wellness’—a sophisticated fusion of clinical excellence and a spa-inspired atmosphere designed to ensure you feel as radiant as you look. A graduate of Swarthmore College, Dr. Kim earned her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Following her Ivy League training, she spent over a decade refining her expertise within premier practices across the state, from Orange County to Napa, and most recently in the heart of Silicon Valley. Now returning home to the East Bay, she brings her refined perspective to Danville. As an active member of the ADA, AGD, and Contra Costa Dental Society (CCDS), Dr. Kim is dedicated to a standard of care defined by clinical excellence and genuine comfort. Outside the studio, Dr. Kim is a busy mother of two boys and finds her own rhythm listening to the energy of K-pop. Dr. Kim is thrilled to be back near family and looking forward to serving the community in Danville, Walnut Creek, Alamo and San Ramon.
