About Dr. Kai-Jen Jerry Chiu

Dr. Jerry Chiu is a board-certified periodontist in both the USA and Canada. He pursued his passion for dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry where he was consistently ranked in the top 10% of his class, was inducted into the National Dental Honors Society called Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), and received recognition from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He went on to complete advanced specialty training in periodontology at the historically prestigious Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he concomitantly obtained a master’s degree in periodontology studying the relationship between diabetes and periodontitis. Dr. Chiu went on to accept a position as a clinical assistant professor in the department of periodontology at Boston University, which has allowed him to fulfill his desire to stay current in the ever-evolving field while teaching future periodontists. He has also been practicing around the Greater Boston area to provide dental services in periodontics and implant dentistry, rescuing teeth from periodontal disease and providing implant services when necessary, using a spectrum of traditional and innovative techniques depending on his patients’ unique needs.
