“Can’t rate her bedside manner because I didn’t actually meet her - her staff said she was out sick which would have been nice to know ahead of time! They said she would look at my x-ray and call if there were any issues. No complaints otherwise though, still got my cleaning and would go back!”

About Dr. Karly Vera

Dr. Vera was first exposed to dentistry at the early age of 5 when she would go to work with her mom, who worked as an office manager at a dental office. As she grew older, her curiosity also grew and she began helping the doctors, which inspired her to become one herself. She attended NYU School of Dentistry for her dental degree and completed her residency in General Dentistry at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Now as a dentist, Dr. Vera enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but helping her patients alleviate their pain and discomfort is her favorite part. She loves to listen to her patients concerns with empathy and collaborate with them to help them achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. You can always expect her to create a safe and comfortable environment where you can be excited to work together towards your dental health goals. Outside of the office, Dr. Vera is something of a busy bee and enjoys knitting & crocheting, organizing her coin collection, cooking, and spending time with her boyfriend and her dog, Lady. She also likes to stay fit and goes hiking in the summertime and skiing in the wintertime. A fun fact about Dr. Vera is that she considers herself a little bit of a nerd because she loves Star Wars, Harry Potter, and most of the Marvel franchise.
