About Dr. Katherine Parfomak

Dr. Katherine Parfomak graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a B.A.S. in 2015, and from New York University College of Dentistry in 2018. She was presented the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for excellence in the clinical setting and in patient care. She completed a voluntary one year residency through NYU Langone at the NYU College of Dentistry in 2019 to successfully earn a certificate for Advanced Education in General Dentistry. From that point, she had worked in the family dental practice, Parfomak Family Dentistry, until moving from NJ to Knoxville, TN, in 2022. After many long hours and unexpected opportunities, Westfield Dental began accepting patients in Spring of 2024. Dr. Katherine is a strong advocate of comprehensive dental care and in stressing prevention and treatment of conditions before they become more serious. She is comfortable and has experience with a broad range from simple conservative procedures and tailored treatment plans to full mouth smile design. She is developing a team of local specialists and in-house services to best meet your long-term dental needs. Shortly after Dr. Miroslawa Parfomak became a faculty member at the LMU College of Medicine, Dr. K was also offered a position at the school. She is currently an Adjunct Professor and Faculty Member at the LMU College of Dental Medicine since the summer of 2023. In 2025, she accepted a position as a US ADEX Examiner and is an active member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and the American Academy of Oral & Systemic Health (AAOSH). Dr. Katherine was recognized as one of America’s Best in Medicine in 2026. When she isn't working, Dr. Katherine is taking continuing education courses, active in her local community and church with volunteer programs and events, and always working on a project or three.
