About Dr. Kendal Lin
Dr. Lin earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with specialization in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia. Pursuing her interest in medicine and science, she began her career at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases within the National Institutes of Health. As a Research Fellow, she investigated mutations in a variety of hereditary immunologic diseases.
Dr. Lin received her dental training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine as a Dean’s Merit Scholar. During dental school, Dr. Lin pursued additional training in the areas of anesthesia and special needs dentistry. She organized and led a mission trip to rural Honduras to provide basic dental treatments such as root canal treatment, extractions, and restorations to over a thousand patients.
At the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Lin completed her Periodontology Residency Program and earned an advanced degree in Periodontology and a Master of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology. In addition to her clinical training at Harvard, Dr. Lin conducted research and pioneered a randomized controlled trial in the novel use of placental membrane as a palatal wound dressing to accelerate wound healing, decrease post-operative pain, and improve surgical outcomes.
Dr. Lin has received awards in recognition of her clinical talent and academic achievements, and has been published in several medical and scientific journals. She is trained in the latest treatment systems and technologies, and has a strong passion for continuing education and professional development in periodontics. Dr. Lin is an active member of American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, Massachusetts Dental Society, and International Team for Implantology.
Dr. Lin enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, Dexter and Brody. An avid dog lover, she can often be found exploring new trails with her dogs.
