At other places I’ve always felt like I was being scolded and judged so imagine my breath of relief when none of that happened on my first visit to a new dentist. I did feel attended to, was informed of what was was going on and felt that great care was being taken of me to keep me knowledgeable about each step of my treatment and in dealing with me. Hygienists are knowledgeable but less effective at applying the skills during cleaning. They are trained in high-tech tools, but the basics of the cleaning process need refreshing; keeping patient's face clean throughout.
