About Dr. Komal Suri
Dr. Suri earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas, San Antonio, and completed a Residency in General Practice at Montefiore Medical Center. She has a passion for general dentistry and aspires to develop a bond of trust and confidence with her patients while delivering quality dental care. Dr. Suri remains committed to furthering her skillset by actively enrolling in Continuing Education courses. This dedication allows her to consistently provide patients with the most up-to-date knowledge regarding all dental procedures. My experience at this office was unnecessarily stressful and negative. The office manager (Lem) spoke to me in a condescending manner, would speak over me, and made a scene in the waiting area in front of patients rather than deescalate the situation in a different way or space. Which can be an issue for office, with HIPPA. Such an uncomfortable and chaotic experience; so unjustified and unnecessary. They didn’t even check my insurance prior to visit or let me know it didn’t cover procedure (in advance) to allow me the option and respect of deciding ro cancel before wasting my time. The doctor I scheduled with was not the doctor I saw, and no explanation was given as to why. And I was not alerted of that change prior to visit. Due to character count, details don’t fit here. But will post full review on google.

I will no longer be going to Cosmopolitan Dental and do not recommend the practice to anyone else!! The hygienist I was subjected to was rude, rough, and extremely patronizing. The front office tried to get me to change my appointment time saying they were just “offering me more options” like I didn’t specifically choose the appointment time for a reason in the first place? Lastly , the front office didn’t inform me that Dr. Suri was out, so I was seen by a new dentist. I would’ve rescheduled if I had known this. Going to the dentist is never fun, but this was just very unprofessional and a really negative experience overall.

Amazing place! I was looking for another dentist because I was unhappy with my old one and immediately I was welcomed with a warm greeting, clean office and very friendly staff. I have now found my new dentist Dr. Suri who heard much of my concerns and helped me create a future plan in the care of my teeth. Jennifer, her assistant did a great job cleaning my teeth. Both are the kindest most honest people I have met. I am very happy I have found this place.

I have been going to the same dentist for almost thirty years, and this was my first time seeing a new provider, so I was a bit nervous. My fears were quickly assuaged by Dr. Suri’s warm demeanor and impeccable bedside manner. She was extremely helpful in addressing my health concerns and made sure they were all addressed. The office was very quick to get my appointment going and I waited less than five minutes to get my teeth cleaned and impressions taken of my mouth. Highly recommend them!

This was a great dental experience. I had not been to the dentist since before COVID and was really nervous. Everyone at this office made me feel super welcome and comfortable. I now feel like prioritizing my dental health can be easy and not stressful.

Everyone I interacted with in this office was so friendly and knowledgeable - but what stood out to me was how patient they all were with me while I described my dental history and we talked through a treatment plan.
When it was time to discuss billing, I was carefully walked through my estimate, and they worked with me to make the most of my insurance for a lengthy treatment plan.
I haven't had treatment at this office yet, but I feel very at ease and optimistic based on my initial consultation!

Convienent location next to Grand Central for my appointment (I live in Westchester, I work in Manhattan and they had 5 pm appointments available) nice staff but visit overall wasn’t my favorite experience.
I felt staff was a little invasive at this dental office for the following reasons-
*what I felt was an excessive number of X-ray photos were taken (I’m used to getting 6-8 taken, I lost count with them after they surpassed 20 photos),
*more than one time the staff asked me if I had worn braces to which my last response ended up being “are you guys trying to put me in braces?” at which point they finally stopped asking.
*there were more rigorous questions about my other medical issues than there were at any other dentist I’d been to.
I will be back at this office as they ultimately did a thorough cleaning but I would expect on future visits they be less invasive as I described above or at least be more upfront to reasons that are causing the necessity of the invasiveness.

Not only was the staff professional, they were very encouraging (all the way around). I was a bit uneasy just going to the dentist’s office from past experiences, but they really put me at ease, and I’m even looking forward to my next appointment, as I’m on a new journey to rectify things. From reception (or rather management), to the technician and Dr. S, the overall experience was a comfort. They’re amazing!

Dr. Suri was exceptional. She was so kind and friendly. We immediately connected, and I was surprised to see that she was the one actually doing my cleaning. With other dentists, a dental hygenist did the cleaning. But with Dr. Suri doing the complete end-to-end visit, except for the X-rays, it felt like it was much more efficient. I was in and out much quicker than I expected. Highly recommend Dr. Suri and I am looking forward to seeing her again.
