He understands the importance of educating each patient about their oral health and walking them through their individualized treatment plan. “I was raised in China”, Dr. Zheng says. “After graduating from dental school in Shanghai, I entered into a busy general dentistry private practice two years. During that period, I realized that that I had a passion for Orthodontics, so I traveled to Japan for a four-year Orthodontics/PhD program. After receiving my PhD degree, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Japan for another two years, followed by eight years in University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After a highly competitive one-year internship, I was then accepted into The Ohio State University Orthodontic Residency Program where I earned my certificate in Orthodontics and Master’s degree.” Dr. Zheng is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists also speaks fluent Chinese and Japanese. Dr. Zheng says, “In my free time I love watching professional football, playing soccer and fishing throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest”.
