About Dr. Marc Goldman

Dr. Marc Goldman graduated in 1979 from NYU College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He then entered the Post Graduate Periodontal Program at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and attained his Certificate in Periodontics in 1982. Dr. Goldman also completed a Residency in General Practice at Beth Israel Hospital. In 1983, Dr. Goldman obtained the existing periodontal practice of Dr. Ira Ross and has been at that same location ever since. Thus, the practice is entering its 70th year. Dr. Goldman has been active in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, New Jersey Dental Association, Essex County Dental Association, New Jersey Society of Periodontists, and Newark Dental Club. He is an attending at Newark Beth Israel Hospital, serving as Chairman of the Department and Attending to the General Practice Residency Program, where he instructs new dentists. Dr. Goldman's articles have been published in The Journal of the American Academy of Periodontology and the New Jersey Dental Journal. He also lectures for the Dental Studies Institute in Fairfield, NJ. Additionally, Dr. Goldman is certified by the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry to administer Botox (neurotoxins) and Cosmetic Fillers (collagen). Our practice philosophy has always been to save as many teeth as possible for as long as possible. Dr. Goldman took his implant training in 1983 with Dr. Gerald Niznick, one of the pioneers in implant dentistry. Unfortunately, many recent graduates consider implants the first line of treatment, while our experience favors a more conservative approach with your finances in mind.
