About Dr. Martha Sanger

Dr. Sanger started out as a General Dentist in 1990. She began placing dental implants and then decided to dedicate her career to implant placement and gum treatment. She attended the prestigious El Bosque University in Bogota, Colombia, where she graduated as a specialist in Periodontics and Oral Medicine. This specialty training covered all aspects of periodontics as well as dental implant placement, giving her a unique understanding of how the bone and gum tissues can be managed even with medically compromised patients who are on various medications. During this time, she also served as the Clinical Professor of Postgraduate Periodontics at El Bosque University. Dr. Sanger later moved to the United States, and she obtained her license to practice dentistry in California in 2004. She completed a one-year master's program in dental implantology from UCLA and then opened her practice in Bakersfield, focusing on Periodontics with services in Dental Implants and full mouth reconstructions. In 2020 Dr. Sanger bought the Periodontal office of Richard Wells DDS in Visalia California and has been practicing there ever since.
