I was a new patient. I arrived 20 minutes early to complete paperwork, but wasn’t called up to start paperwork until my appointment time. I declined x-rays at check-in (since I recently had them done elsewhere), and the front desk was unwilling to proceed with my appointment without them, WITHOUT speaking to the DDS. I had to insist on speaking with the dentist first. I was finally called back 25 minutes after my scheduled time. The dentist was kind and understanding, though not the dentist I originally booked with, and agreed x-rays weren’t necessary at this visit. The polishing was uncomfortably rough (done by assistant), and there was excessive water splashing during the cleaning (I've never experienced water dripping down my neck). At checkout, my copay was charged incorrectly and had to be fixed. Additionally, the waiting area lacks privacy, you can hear front desk conversations about other patients, which raises HIPAA concerns. Overall, the visit felt disorganized and rushed.
