Dr. Matthew Lisenby has called Reno home for most of his life. Born in Arlington, Texas, he moved to Nevada as a young child and grew up with a natural curiosity for the sciences. That curiosity led him to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned his undergraduate degree in biology. He went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine to complete his dental education. Dr. Lisenby's path to dentistry was a personal one. After spending six years in braces as a teenager, he developed a firsthand appreciation for how much a smile can affect the way you feel about yourself. That experience shapes the way he approaches patient care today — with a focus on comfort, confidence, and results that make a real difference in people's lives. Dr. Lisenby returned to Reno after dental school and has been proud to serve the community he grew up in ever since. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their little boy, and their two poodles, hitting the trails for a hike, traveling, and unwinding with a video game when the opportunity arises.
