About Dr. Melissa Wendt
Raised in Sugar Land, Dr. Wendt continued her graduate education at the University of Texas Dental School where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Wendt is the proud owner of Anchor dental and is a standing member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Greater Houston Dental Society. With over 11 years in practice, she is dedicated to the lifelong learning of the newest, safest, and most innovative dental services available and has hundreds of hours of continuing education post dental school.
When Dr. Wendt is not practicing her passion for dentistry, she enjoys gardening, scuba diving, aquariums, being outdoors with her schnauzers, spending time with her husband, and two daughters.
She is passionate about dentistry, and has a phenomenal team that goes above and beyond to provide you with an exceptional dental experience.

The team was helpful both prior to my appointment making sure everything was ready for my appointment and that I knew where their office was. Once at the appointment the front desk person was polite and welcoming. Once in the chair both the dental assistant and dentist were calming and thorough about the course of treatment and making sure I was comfortable the entire time.

I am new to the area and needed to get in to see a dentist ASAP due to an abscessed molar that came on fast and the pain was unbelievable! I was able to schedule quickly, Dr. Wendt and her hygienist Becky were efficient and listened to my concerns. She made her recommendations and gave me options based on my coverage and budget. She didn’t push any unnecessary procedures. I chose what I wanted to do and she Scheduled me for the very next morning to get in and get it taken care of. Her front desk staff is friendly and also made sure to pre authorize with my insurance and give me prices prior to treatment so I would not have any surprises. This will definitely be my permanent dentist as long as I live here in Katy.

Great service and appointment. I appreciated the clear information I was presented by the doctor and the referrals I was given. Esmeralda did a great job with cleaning especially considering I was having pain coming into the appointment. Also especially thankful to Carrie who answered my questions and was so helpful when I called before my other consult.

Have seen Dr. Wendt several times and have never had to wait. Dr. Wendt, her dental assistant and the entire office staff provide a warm and friendly atmosphere that calms the nervousness that I generally get in a dentist office. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

My family of five all go to Dr. Wendt at Anchor Dental. From the Chelsea at the front desk, to all the wonderful nurses, to Dr. Wendt I am always more than pleased. Very fair prices and never get a follow-up bill from insurance; they run the costs at the office and they are always spot on.
My kids range from 2-10yrs and all the staff are wonderful with them. Highly recommended for all ages!

Every time I bring my daughters by, we are never disappointed. Very accommodating, very sweet, overall comfortable atmosphere for both girls who are 4, and 14. Questions and concerns are always taken seriously and your even sent home with a personal number if for any reason you have an issue later in the night. I think they are great. Totally recommend this place to anyone who needs a dependable, caring dentist

I can't say enough about how amazing the staff at this office are. I came in having had several bad experiences at other dental offices. The first call I had with this office they spent 30 minutes just answering my questions and alleviating concerns. They are so easy to do business with and it was a breath of fresh air! From hand written notes to calls to make sure I was ok after my wisdom teeth were extracted they went above and beyond what anyone would expect! Jen the assistant is amazing and always makes me feel welcome. I have since seen the dentist who is so sweet and super thorough. Then had the opportunity to get my teeth cleaned by Sherry the BEST dental cleaning I've ever had! I feel amazing every time I leave there. I have NEVER looked forward to going to the dentist before and I love going to this place! This is definitely Katy's best kept secret for dentistry!
