“It’s been two years since my visit with Dr. Affleck, and I still have no issues with TMJ!
I originally drove from Salt Lake to Utah County to see a “TMJ specialist” for jaw pain. After two confusing hours, a 3D scan, $250, and a quote of over $10,000 for treatment, I still didn’t understand what was wrong with my jaw.
I went to Dr. Affleck at Affleck Dental for a second opinion, and the experience was completely different. He examined my jaw, clearly explained the problem and my TMJ treatment options, and taught me that an MRI is needed to evaluate the soft tissue and joints. Instead of expensive treatment, he suggested starting with a $20 option and simple things I could do at home—none of which benefited him financially.
Dr. Affleck was honest, respectful, thorough, and never pressured me. After doing that at-home recommendations... two years later, my jaw is still doing great. I highly recommend Dr. Affleck and Affleck Dental for TMJ, jaw pain, or an honest second opinion.”

About Dr. Michael Affleck
At Affleck Dental, Dr. Michael S. Affleck is the prosthodontist, and we provide a support team that consists of highly skilled professionals. We work hand in hand with all dental specialists to plan, sequence, and deliver permanent solutions to people who are missing one tooth or multiple teeth.
Dr. Affleck completed dental school at the University of Iowa. His next professional step was completing three years of additional training as a prosthodontist — a dentist who fixes severely damaged teeth and replaces missing teeth. Now about half of his practice consists of general dentistry, and he dedicates the other half of his time to prosthodontics.
Our services include: restoring dental implants, cosmetics (veneers & crowns), fillings, bleaching, ZOOM bleaching, dentures, permanent denture solutions, and reconstruction such as Teeth in a Day™ & All on Four™.

I have gone to Dr. Affleck for many services. I have had a crown done, a filling done, and he even does Botox! They also have a hygienist on staff, so I also do my cleaning there. Such a great office!!

My experience with Dr. Affleck was phenomenal! I wanted a consult for internal bleaching on a tooth I had a root canal on which started to discolor again. My appointment was great and I can’t wait to see my tooth look normal again! Wonderful staff & office!

Dr. Affleck’s office continues to prove to provide excellent care. The office itself, doesn’t feel like your typical dental office. The atmosphere is comforting and the workers treat you like family. Highly recommend.

Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. As someone who hasn't gone to a dentist in years, they made the experience very comfortable and inviting. Everyone was super respectful and was good at communication and listening. I don't feel so nervous to go back for future visits now!
