About Dr. Michael Hess
For Dr. Michael Hess, serving others with compassion drives his approach to dentistry. After losing a front tooth in a high school baseball accident and undergoing jaw surgery to correct his bite, he developed a deep respect for the dental professionals who helped restore his smile and confidence. That experience inspired him to pursue dentistry with the goal of helping others feel the same relief and reassurance he once received.
Dr. Hess completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona before earning his DDS from the University of Colorado. After dental school, he joined the United States Navy to serve his country. During his five years of service, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency and deployed aboard an aircraft carrier.
As a graduate of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Maxicourse, Dr. Hess brings a deep understanding of surgical procedures, implants, and complex restorative care to his general practice. His skill set allows him to perform everything from same-day crowns and emergency extractions to precise implant placement and maintenance.
But what truly sets Dr. Hess apart is how he connects with people. Outgoing and personable, he believes in treating every patient with the same level of care and respect he would offer his own family. His priority is to be the dentist you trust for everything—whether you're in pain, need a second opinion, or simply want to maintain your healthiest smile.
When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Dr. Hess enjoying the great outdoors—running, hiking, skiing, and fishing. He’s proud to call Phoenix home and excited to grow roots in a community that values both modern care and genuine relationships.

Clean office, great communication, will definitely be returning. I truly enjoyed my visit despite finding out that I need two crowns. I will be having my husband switching over to Dr. Hess as well. Couldn’t recommend a better dental office.

Dr. Hess and his team were wonderful. Madison was so nice, she gave me a thorough cleaning and was very informative. Dr. Hess was personable and explained everything very clearly. He truly seems to care about his patient and their teeth. Everyone was friendly, and the office was very clean.
