About Dr. Michael Lessner

Dr. Michael Lessner is a highly experienced general dentist with more than 30 years of clinical practice. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1990. He previously owned and operated a private practice in Austin, Texas, where he built long-standing relationships with patients and provided comprehensive, high-quality dental care. Dr. Lessner’s connection to Lake Tahoe began more than 30 years ago, when he first visited the area with his wife, Linda. After purchasing a cabin in Carnelian Bay in 2010, they ultimately decided to make the Tahoe community their permanent home. Dr. Lessner is excited to bring his experience and patient-first philosophy to the Truckee and Tahoe City communities. Dr. Lessner values building long-term relationships with his patients and believes in providing dentistry rooted in trust, consistency, and personalized care. He looks forward to helping patients maintain healthy smiles that support their active lifestyles. Outside of the office, Dr. Lessner enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, and snowboarding. His wife, Linda, is a special education teacher at Truckee High School and shares his commitment to the local community. While their four children are now grown, with their youngest recently heading off to Cal State Monterey Bay, Dr. Lessner and his family are excited to begin this new chapter in the place they’ve loved since 1996.
