About Dr. Michael Maya
For Dr. Michael Maya, helping others to look and feel their absolute best is a dream come true. He simply can’t imagine doing anything else! Dr. Maya is a native of North Miami Beach and couldn’t be happier to provide excellent dental care to his community every day as a member of the Beach Dental Care family.
Dr. Maya attended Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine to receive his Doctorate and completed a 10-week externship at the Miami VA Medical Center. He relocated to New York City after graduation to pursue postdoctoral training and completed his general practice residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn. Next, Dr. Maya moved back to Miami and focused on cosmetic and general dentistry for two years before returning to Manhattan, where he treated a wide population of patients in a fast-paced environment in the Grand Central Station area.
Shortly after returning to his roots in Miami, Dr. Maya was happy to join the Beach Dental Care team. He’s been helping the families of the area ever since. He’s undergone advanced training in cosmetic and advanced restorative dentistry, restorative implant dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, removable prosthetics, and the use of digital and CAD/CAM technology for the fabrication of crowns and bridges.
Dr. Maya’s favorite part of his job is getting to know his patients one-on-one. He loves educating others on all there is to know about the dental field, and he particularly enjoys discussing treatments and making patients aware of any alternative options they might have.
Away from work, Dr. Maya likes playing sports, going to the gym, practicing the guitar, and traveling. He also gives his time to the Give Kids a Smile program in both New York and South Florida.

I was waiting to be called in when I approached the front desk to inquire if my information was correct. An elderly lady told me that my insurance was not accepted because I was under Medicare. Yet the doctor shows under UHC Medicare providers. Never received a call prior to driving and checking in to be seen by the doctor. She blamed it on Jesus who was assisting her the day I called for an appt. I had completed all info online and gave Jesus my insurance card info to verify, which he did advising me all was fine and I was set to see Dr. Castillo on 4/1 at 2:00pm.
Terrible organization and never received a call to save me the time/travel.

I recently moved to Miami and needed a new dentist. I found Dr. Maya through a friend. Everything in the office was easy and fast. Dr. Maya is a pretty funny guy and very honest. I had a cavity filled and did not feel the injection at all! I highly recommend.

The office staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The schedule ran on time. The Dentist was very nice and made me feel very comfortable during treatment. The Dentist also spent time with me after my treatment answering all my questions.

Dr. Michael Maya is an excellent dentist, always caring for the patient's needs. I have gotten a few cavities filled by the Doctor, and he is always attentive to pain management and precise service. I love the way my dentist works with my periodontist. I will continue to see Dr. Michael Maya for years!

I needed to have a crown done over my implant, and it was very difficult for me to find a good doctor, then when Dr. Michael Maya treated me everything was amazing, my simile now its beautiful and I can smile again.
