Dr. Michael Abboud is originally from Latakia, Syria. He graduated from dental school at Tishreen University in 2012, then moved to the United States in 2013. Michael worked in Tucson, Arizona, where he began as a medical assistant and then dental assistant. He later enrolled in the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2019. After graduating, Michael performed oral surgery training at Boston University while practicing as a general dentist for two years. In July 2021, he joined the LSU OMFS program for a one-year non-categorical internship. In his spare time, Dr. Abboud enjoys playing soccer and basketball with friends. Sometimes, after a long week, you can find him relaxing on the couch playing video games as well.
