I was very disappointed with Expert Dental.
I had specifically requested Dr. Kwak, but she was absent and Dr. Park treated me instead. Dr. Park was kind and the hygienist’s deep cleaning was fine, but a week later the filling edge on a treated molar lifted, leaving a noticeable gap my tongue kept catching on.
I also visited Dr. Anna for an old crown replacement. She suspected root inflammation and recommended a 3D scan, but I declined since I had no symptoms. The visit was frustrating—I arrived on time but waited 20 minutes, met her for only 5 minutes, then waited another 15 minutes for a financial consultation. What made me most uncomfortable was her repeated questioning about screws in my cheekbone, which came from unrelated surgery. Despite explaining this, she kept pressing for details, something no dentist in over 20 years had done.
The facilities were unimpressive, service was poor, and I will never return. I do not recommend this clinic at all.

Expert dentist run a tight ship. You are guided around point by point in a super efficient manner. Assistant does most of the pre-work and the doctor may only come in for a short bit. May feel a bit corporate, but they have last minute slots and the front desk is good at setting expectations and helping you through insurance.

My doctor was good but the dental assistant who took the x-rays was not very good. He jammed the plastic bite block in my mouth like a brute.
The doctor however was good.

The clinic in general tries to sell additional services, even if you don't need them. Generally, that is not ideal. Better to pick a dentist (and clinic) who is truly concerned about your dental health instead of profits.

Incredibly professional and courteous, Dr Kwak gave me a clear and solid appraisal of my oral health and advised me on next steps for cosmetic and orthodontic procedures. The nurse and hygienist I was assigned were both extremely kind and helpful, and the vibe of the practice was overall so welcoming and calming. The wait time was minimal and the front desk staff were personable and helpful. I’ve had many negative dental experiences in NY and this was by far the best I’ve had.

Waiting time was 40mins. And cleaning took about 15mins. Doctor and hygienist were fine but the clinic seriously need to revise their reservation system

It was my first time to see Dr. Kwak and the whole experience was very pleasant. She kept me informed every step of the treatment, and made it clear how much covered by my insurance in advance. Also the staff is very nice and accommodating.
