“If been through my fare share of dentist's but Dr Sy and his staff are by far the best. They are friendly, compassionate, caring, knowledgeable, personable, fast, thorough, and informative. The receptionist always me checked in before i even get to her desk, they accept ODS/OHP insurance, I've never had more than maybe 10 minute wait time to be seen, scheduling follow ups is fast and they always have great availability that works with my schedule and the place is always clean! Thank you Dr Sy and all of the staff at 5 Star Smiles! You all are amazing!”

Dr. Sy had never seen me before though I had been to this office. He immediately admonished me and said "he had warned me about that tooth" even though I'd never seen him. I told him "no" and he continued to admonish me until I stopped him and told him, "I saw Dr. X, and she never said anything about that tooth and I'd never seen him before." Only then did he say sorry but I still think he had another patient in mind when doing my evaluation.
Problem is - even if he had told me about "that tooth" what good was it to admonish me? Make me feel guilty in a bad situation? That is bad bedside manner - he is there to fix the issue, not make the event worse. I saw the previous dentist six times in 2025 and she never once indicated there was a problem with that tooth so how was I to know?

Dr. Sy was great he listened to my concerns and examined me personally, prescribed medication and facilitated a follow up appointment. Audrey the dental hygienist was great she explained everything she was doing and made me feel comfortable. Everyone was friendly at the receptionist as well. Another great thing is I was given a quote of what my insurance would pay and what I would have to pay out of pocket. Overall great experience and will be returning for follow up appointment as well as other dental needs

The wait time was short. The staff, as usual, were extremely polite yet professional. The doctor made sure to check if I was in any pain or discomfort. The procedure was very important and I knew I was in good hands.
