About Dr. Natan Katanov
Natan Katanov, DDS, is an experienced root canal dentist at Brooklyn City Dental in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. A member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Katanov has a caring demeanor and isn’t afraid of a challenge. One of his many professional attributes is a positive attitude with every patient to make the dental experience as pleasant as possible.
Dr. Katanov started his dental career in 2016 at the Touro College of Dental Medicine, located at the New York Medical College. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2020.
He completed his general practice residency at NYCHHC Harlem Hospital in New York City. During his rotation, he received training in oral surgery and general anesthesia for wisdom teeth extractions.
Dr. Katanov also received more training for other types of general dentistry, including root canal treatment, dental crowns, bridges, and veneers. Another part of his training focused on simple and complicated tooth extractions, along with osseous surgery and dental bone grafting.
He also speaks fluent Russian, which allows him to connect with a wide variety of patients in New York.

I had a truly great experience at this dental office! I cracked a tooth on a Sunday (right before starting a new job) and they made it happen with a same day emergency appointment. Jessie was incredibly helpful during intake, and Dr. Nate clearly explained my options and the procedure. Everyone was warm, professional, and put me at ease during a stressful moment. So grateful they were able to help so quickly. Highly recommend!

I went in to the office for a checkup and they said they would schedule me for a cleaning. They mentioned something about a potential additional procedure that was out of pocket and said they would explain everything before I walked in.
I showed up to the appointment and asked for a breakdown of what will happen beyond the cleaning and they only had me schedule for the procedure that was outside of my copay.
It seemed off and the office manager came in to explain the procedure using google - end of the day i figured it might be necessary and asked to reschedule tor a later day thinking i was getting a normal cleaning today.
To that I was told i needed to put a deposit for the appointment to which I walked out

Came in for wisdom extraction and was seen right away. The process was painless and fast, and the doctor answered all my questions. Jessie at the front desk was incredibly helpful and positive.

I felt very comfortable during my visit today. I had a deep cleaning with Dasha and she made sure I was okay considering my experience from last week and my fear of the numbing needle. Dasha also took time before we started to see how I was feeling and ask me about my plans for the weekend. I love to feel like I am in good hands and I am seen as more than just a patient and Dasha gave me that experience. Thank you ! I would definitely recommend my dentist office to anyone especially since they are open on Sundays which is super convenient for my work schedule.

This office is absolutely excellent! The customer service is exemplary and Jessie is incredible. He was very responsive and flexible with my schedule. Additionally, the doctor was very kind, knowledgeable and overall excellent. I am usually very afraid of pain and he was extremely understanding and accommodating. Overall, this office is super clear, and excellent. Would highly recommend!

I was so anxious to be seen because my tooth broke and knew I needed it extracted. Dr. Nate reassured me and explained my options. He took the tooth out and added bone. No pain and now excited to get an implant. Must make an appointment to see him.
