During her undergraduate years, Dr. Chowdhury quickly discovered her passion for science, art, and connecting with people. Dentistry perfectly combines these three interests. She finds it incredibly rewarding to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds while directly impacting their health.
Dr. Chowdhury loves dentistry because it allows her to educate patients about oral science and health while using her hands to create beautiful smiles. Helping people understand what's happening in their oral cavity is very important to her. This understanding not only enables her to provide better treatment but also empowers patients to improve their home care. Dentistry challenges Dr. Chowdhury every day-no two days are the same-and she enjoys thinking on her feet and developing innovative solutions to a wide range of challenges.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the UB School of Dental Medicine, which provided a strong foundation for her clinical skills and patient care philosophy.
Dr. Chowdhury recently moved to Houston with her husband. They have been enjoying the city, especially visiting Buffalo Bayou Park, cooking Korean BBQ at home, trying new workout classes, and always searching for the next best restaurant-their current favorite is Katami. She is also looking forward to exploring new spots like Annie's Cafe, experiencing the rooftop movie theater, and trying a Pilates class at Solidcore nearby.
At home, Dr. Chowdhury enjoys creating textured plaster art. She also loves international travel, with a safari in South Africa standing out as one of her top experiences. Additionally, she enjoys watching Korean dramas, while reality TV remains a guilty pleasure.
