“The staff was very friendly and respectful of my time when I mentioned that I needed to be finished with my appointment within about an hour. The process went very smoothly, even as a new patient!
The only snag was that I accidentally entered the wrong office because there is another Dr. Patel on the same floor in the same building. The other office was open when I arrived to my 8:00am appointment a little early (around 7:50am) but Midtown Dental Group's office was not yet open. This was a little confusing, but likely not a problem for any later appointments in the day!”

I came in with pain around one of my wisdom teeth that was coming in. I was scared going in as I've had bad experiences with really dismissive dentists in the past. I explained this to Neysha and said that I wanted to get all the information and just understand what is happening and why and she was SO nice and understanding. She was super receptive and answered all my questions and made sure to make me comfortable to make my own decision.

As a new patient, I felt at ease knowing going to the dentist isn't always fun except for when your mouth feels refresh at the end. From the front desk staff, to the hygienist to the dentist herself, the experience was welcoming and comforting. This was the most painful cleaning I have ever had. All of my teeth had blood around them when I left (and it had only been 6 months since my last cleaning). Doctor went on and on about flossing- I finally was brutally honest and explained that when my depression gets bad, oral hygiene is the first thing I start to struggle with. I was told "well you still need to floss and put in the extra effort or you're going to get cavities". Obviously they are correct but the tiniest shred of empathy for a patient's menal health would have gone a long way. The facility is very dark- no natural light and dark paint on the walls make you feel like you are in a cave. They did an adequate job on my teeth but nothing spectacular about the facility or the doctor.

Dr. Patel was extremely professional and helpful; as someone without a history of thorough dental hygiene trying to get onto a better path, I found her advice thorough, helpful, and totally nonjudgmental, which was exactly what I needed. Thank you!
