About Dr. Pericles Stamatiades

I was born and raised in Asheville in a close-knit Greek family, where caring for people, serving others, and treating guests like family were simply part of everyday life. Looking back, those values shaped not only who I am, but the kind of dental practice I hoped to build one day. After earning my dental degree from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, I completed a hospital residency focused on comprehensive dentistry and caring for medically complex patients. I later continued advanced training in dental implants and sedation dentistry because I believe patients deserve care that is both modern and deeply personal. Over the years, I’ve pursued extensive continuing education, earning my Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry, an achievement held by fewer than 1% of dentists in the United States and Canada. I’m also certified through the North Carolina Dental Board to safely administer conscious sedation for patients who experience dental anxiety. But what matters most to me has never been titles or credentials. It’s people. I love helping patients feel comfortable again, restoring confidence, and changing the way they think about dentistry altogether. That belief is what inspired me to create Zöe Dental and build a practice centered around a more thoughtful, human experience. Giving back to our community is also a huge part of who I am. Through programs like Servants of Smiles and Brave Hearts + Brave Smiles (in partnership with ABCCM), our team has been able to provide free dental care to individuals and veterans throughout Western North Carolina. Those days continue to be some of the most meaningful moments of my career. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and children, hiking, reading, and enjoying the mountains we’re lucky enough to call home.
