About Dr. Phil Ruckman

Dr. Phil N. Ruckman III is excited to return to Fort Wayne. He went on to graduate from Indiana University School of Dentistry with highest distinction, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After graduating dental school, he practiced general dentistry for a year in Fort Wayne before beginning his residency at University of Illinois at Chicago in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. As a chief resident, he presented two research topics at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons annual meeting. Dr. Ruckman has coauthored and published research over nerve repair and orthognathic surgery in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Ruckman prides himself on providing his patients with the highest level of surgical care, and enjoys all aspects of oral surgery. He has special interests in complex implant cases including all-on-4 full arch restoration, zygomatic implants, bone grafting, and sinus augmentation. Dr. Ruckman has vast experience in teeth in a day, and has completed hundreds of cases of All-On-4. Dr. Ruckman performs a wide array of surgical procedures in the scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery from nerve repair, surgery for correction of snoring, orthognathic surgery utilizing virtual surgical planning, oral pathology, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Ruckman is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is a member of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAMOS), American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), American Dental Association (ADA), Indiana Dental Association (IDA), and the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society (IKDDS). Dr. Ruckman and his wife Jessica have four lovely children, Alexa, Lucas, Reid and Colbie.Outside of oral surgery and spending time with his family.
