About Dr. Renee Kono

Dr. Renée Kono is a native Houstonian and proudly completed all of her schooling here in her favorite city. Dr. Kono received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Prior to dental school, Dr. Kono was a high school chemistry teacher where she shared her love for science and teaching. Her experience both as an educator and coach gave her the tools needed to become a thoughtful and patient clinician to her patients of all ages. Dr. Kono is trained in all aspects of family and cosmetic dentistry and she is licensed to provide laser therapy, nitrous, and Invisalign treatment. She provides care to all her patients as though they were her own family and hopes to create connections in a safe environment with open communication. In her free time, Dr. Kono enjoys trying out new restaurants and attempting to copy recipes at home with her husband. They can often be found on Costco-runs on the weekends or relaxing at home with their six cats. ‍
