Rick Jackowski, DDS, is a general dentist and a vital member of the team at Pleasant Family Dentistry, located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Dr. Jackowski was born in New York City and raised on Long Island. He attended Syracuse University for undergrad (Go Orangemen!) but then realized cold weather was not for him and started looking for a dental school in the south. He attended and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and decided Richmond was still not warm enough. He then visited and fell in love with the charm of the Charleston area. In 1989 Rick gave away his winter coats and moved to sunny Mount Pleasant, where he opened his practice over 30 years ago. He and his wife, Krissa, have two daughters, Morgan and Kaitlyn. Spending time with his family is on the top of his to-do list, along with traveling to new places, boating, fishing, riding bikes, and reading.
