About Dr. Ronald Louis Biondo
Most people have anxiety about visiting their dentist. The anxiety usually stems from fear of pain, out-of-pocket expenses, or lack of confidence that the proper treatment will be rendered.
Dentists have the advantage that after they meet the patient, they can address these issues and develop a pleasant relationship.
No treatment needs to be completed on the initial visit unless it is a dire emergency.
With oral surgery, we do not have the luxury of knowing our patient beforehand. The fear level is higher since they are being referred for surgery, and out-of-pocket expenses are even more of an issue because some procedures are covered under medical policies and others under dental policies. Many times, the appointment is an emergency where the patient is in significant pain.
Every detail is addressed, such as not having any visible instruments or using certain terminology, which also reduces anxiety.
As a solo practitioner with 32 years of experience, I started my own surgical practice to address all of these issues and to be completely accountable to the patient.
I was born, raised, and currently reside in Brooklyn, NY. I completed a JROTC program in high school, completed all of my education and training in New York City, and have had several part-time jobs in many fields over the years.
This experience and training put me in a unique position to understand the concerns of a broad variety of patients.
I personally address the proposed treatment, finances, past experiences, and anxieties during the initial 60-minute consultation.
If a surgical procedure will be performed, I will perform the procedure and personally evaluate the patient during the post-operative visit. In this type of setting, there is one-on-one personal accountability.
I specialize in same-day extraction, implant, and bone grafting. Implant surgery is performed with a laser.

I had my visit with Dr. Ronald today. It went amazingly. He was super patient, stayed with me, asked me questions, checked in with me. Gave me at length after care instructions, answered all my questions, made me feel comfortable and safe. The assistant staff and front desk are amazing as well. Asked me to take my time, showed me a place to wait. Took care of the billings and next visit quickly.

I searched for a dental surgeon who will spend the time to talk to me. Give me options and also assuage my fears.
Dr. Ronald was amazing, he spent time talking to me, making me feel comfortable, did a few double checks, gave me options, and recommended the best and most comfortable procedure forward.
The staff are absolute delight, offered me some water, assured me that if I bring a guest when I get my procedure, that the guest would be received and made to feel comfortable as well. They showed me a breakdown, what the insurance covers, what it doesn't, and a breakdown of payment plan if I chose to go that route. They also spoke kindly of the measures that will be taken to make us feel calm as sometimes we need to take some local anaesthetic etc etc.
Never did I leave a doctor's office more calm. I have zero questions in my head, don't have an urge to Google.

It took quite some time to be seen by the doc, despite getting there earlier than appointment timing. Feels like they knew you were coming but does not want you there.
Consultation was not in depth, and was very vague. I'd still need to go get a second opinion.
The out of pocket quoted for the surgery was quite outrageous.
